monster selfie studio : Review For Interplay :

Use the Free App you can morph your selfie image into scary monsters, then personalise and print your photo to create cool badges, photo frames and greeting cards ( our printer is out of action ATM so we still have this fun part to try out )
The Monster Selfie Studio app works on PCs and Apple or Android mobile phones and tablets, Its free to download or can be used via the website if you don't want to download it on to your phone/ tablet.
Bodhi loves to take selfies, my photo album on my phone is normally full of them so when the chance to review the monster selfie studio came up i couldn't pass on the chance, the kit arrived in time for half term and halloween. The easy of the app was great Bodhi is nearly five and he could do the steps with out my help.
1st thing you need to do is to open the app or website on your smart device , then you'll need to pick your monster. Now this was the hardest part for Bodhi ! you can pick from six monsters Vampire / Alien / Mummy / Werewolf / Frankenstein or a yeti.

Once you have chosen ( He went with Yeti ) could can either take a self or you can also upload a photo from your photo album

We went with taking selfies as , Bodhi struggled a little to get his face to fit inside of the marked lines , But not to worry as you can scale and move your photo around once take to fit better within the lines.

Once you are happy with your selfie photo click on the tick and your photo will become the monsters face !

Bodhi couldn't stop laughing at the photos once made into the monsters, From this point you can share via social media or you can email the photo to friends and family. This would also be the point of printing out. once printed within the box you get craft items to make foam bodies for the monsters. Once i have sorted the printer we will enjoy doing this last part of the kit, We sent halloween emails to all of our family and they all commented on how good the finished photos looks.

The kits also come in animal theme they are £9.99 RRP hours of fun and endless play, yet again another great product from interplay. You can buy direct from the interplay website or from amazon.

Fuzzikins Craft Dozy Dogs *REVIEW*

Over the summer we have had some very wet rainy days, The Dozydogs Fuzzikins was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. The kit comes with everything you will need to make and create a a family of dogs, They are covered in a fuzzy felt this is the base for the dogs fur , Bodhi really enjoyed  using the felt tip pens and giving the dogs different colours furs.

The kit states for ages 5+ Bodhi is 4 1/2 and got on just fine with this project and was soon finished with the colouring part, The next step was to make the sleeping bags and sleep masks for the little family.

This stage i showed Bodhi what do to ( its a very simple poking and pushing ) He only needed showing once and was really pleased that he didn't need my help, Its lovely to give him a project and let him have the freedom to do it pretty much solo.

The project took Bodhi just over an hour, once finished he then spent the of the afternoon playing with the dogs, waking them up and putting them to bed. The kit also comes in a cat  & rabbit version and RRP is £12.99 i feel think would make a great birthday gift or a kit to keep for a rainy day / sick day.

The kit are coming soon to shops and on line , The craft box range via interplay has a huge range of making and doing kits.

Huge thank you as always to Interplay for sending us this kit to test out and review. Body has given it two thumbs up and has said " It was a really fun thing to do while it was raining and we couldn't play in the garden "

Surf jewellery ( Make Surf style jewellery ) interplay ** Review **

When Interplay was asking for reviews on the my style craft range i knew it would be prefect to test out with myself Bodhi and my niece & nephews between the 4 of them the age range is 4 1/2 - 13 we had a family BBQ planned so i took along the kit with me, it all fits in a small box and the only add on you need is scissors.

We all got stuck in The kit has coloured cords/ charms / shells / metal beads and sequins more then enough for the 12 projects plus more , All of the children did need help with the knots and treading the smaller beads onto the cord. The step by step guide is really clear and easy to follow only problem we found as doing this as a group was we had to keep passing the leaflet around.

After around an hour of making ( and snacking & playing ) all of the children had made at least one item of jewellery , the kit recommends that you start at the beginning and work through the projects. We didn't do this as all of the children had a grown up helper but i do this would be best if it was a solo use. The kit is for ages 8+ i would say this is around the right age marking if the child was to be making alone but Bodhi who is 4 1/2 and he really enjoyed the kit and could do maybe 75% of the tasks ?

I was worried that the older boys wouldn't want to make anything as i feared they might have seen it as a girl thing to do but they seemed to enjoy it more then the 14 year old girl ! Bodhi even made a matching shell bracelet to give to his little girl friend at school.

Over all we found the kit easy to use and a lovely way to spend the afternoon out in the sunshine, you can buy the kits and many others from interplay.co.uk direct, amazon , toys r us and many more online and in stores the RRP is £9.99 ad seeing as your get everything you need in the kit and could easily make 15-20 items i think this is a great products, and prefect for the older harder to buy for child. Thank you to interplay for sending us the kit to review.

worm world Review for interplay / my living world

When asked if Bodhi and myself would like to review a product from interplay's my living world range it really was a no brainier, Bodhi loves all things creepy and crawly , when i was a child i used to spend my summers filling empty ice cream tubs with lady birds and setting up snail farms ( we even held snail races in out back garden )

Now i knew i was being sent the worms with the worm world by post ( live worms are an add on of £3 ) it was still a little bit of a shock finding a tub of soil with live worms in and yes i did squeal just a little bit !

set up so very simple and Bodhi really enjoyed helping getting the worm world ready for the worms, the set comes with everything you need apart from soil ( no big deal ) we had fun digging in the garden for this part of set up

we have also enjoyed watching the worms before bed as this is when they are most active ( worms don't like bright lights so will stay hidden in the day time ) Bodhi is amazed at the tunnels and the disappearing leaves ( the worms drag them into the soil to eat them )

I am very impressed with the worm world , i feel it is something that could work well in a classroom or playgroup. Bodhi is loving having pet worms in his bedroom and has asked for a butterfly kit and the ant farm next !! ( maybe Christmas? ) the age range is just about right ( marked at 5+ ) this isn't something id have left Bodhi to do by himself but this would make a prefect gift for that hard to buy for age of child between 5-8 years

watch our youtube video of set up and unboxing of the worm world below

Thank you to Interplay for sending the worm world for review
