August update

Hello everyone, 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while lots going on in the month of August ! So little update for you all .... 

I passed my driving test two week ago (yaye) so I've Ben out driving lots in our family car to get my confidence up. And I killed a pigeon 🐦🚗😭 I was very shaken up by this and now I feel like wifdlife is out to get my as while driving yesterday two squirrels ran across the road , I didn't hit them but yeah I did panic a little, apart from that driving is going well, I've driven alone and myself to and from work ! So yeah that was pretty big thing this month.

We bured my great aunts ashes at whipsande tree cathedral, and that was lovely. I feel she will be very happy in he resting place with the flowers and birds. It was sad but also peaceful that she is now in her final resting place.

My mum dad sister and her children all went on hoilday for just over a week, I felt really lonely with out them , I'm very close with my family and speak / see them most days. I did have a few very sad lonely days while they were on holiday. But they are back now and looking forward to catching up with them all. 

Home improvements well.... We are having our back boiler replaced for a combi, this means new pipes  in and out of the house. Ripping out of the old boiler and yeah... Lots of mess stress and money ! But will be worth it once it's done as our old back boiler is costing us a load of money on heating, it's cold and noisy and takes up space into our living room , so I'll be happy once that is all finished. 

I have also been having a rough time with my health. I have a condition known as endometriosis and yeah it's kicking my ass lately, I need to get back and push for another surgery but to be honest I just don't have the energy!! 

And today is Friday and for a rare treat I've booked the night off from work to spend some time with the husband ( it's our 7 th wedding anniversary on Sunday ) we have a steak dinner and chocolate pudding planed ! Bodhi is going for a sleep over at his aunts & uncles so very much looking forward to just chilling out with chris , watch a few DVDs cuddles and a nice lay in on Saturday. 

So that's you guys all caught up with me ! I will try to update more often I have a few reviews/posts half written that I just need to get around to finishing.

Bubblegum slime

So after hours spent looking and pinning things on good old Pinterest , I made something !! Bubblegum slime is really simple and fast to make, and only uses two household items. Cornflour and washing up liquid !! 

Mix  1 cup of corn flour and 1/2 cup of washing up liquid , this will make the slime very sticky and wet so if you want it dryer then add more cornflour. I used Apple fairy and pommengrante fairy this mixed with the White of the cornflour made the smile pink and green. 

I let bodhi do what he liked with it, we both got very messy and hands covered in the slime after a little while the slime became more dry and firm so we could mould withit, ( couldn't talk photos tho as I was covered i slime by this point ) 

Once bodhi got bored ( after about 40 mins ) I popped the slime ( now more like playdoh ) into the bin and washing hands with soap and hot water and all of the mess was gone ! Think next time I'd  do this  in the garden rather then the living room, but over all was run and simple to make, 

Might also add glitters or rice to it for texture , have fun 

Currently ( July )

Current celebration : summer holidays, ( even if the weather has been rubbish so far ) I am enjoying a slower pace to my days, not rushing lunches and rushing back for the 12:15 school run 

Current confession : I'm really poorly atm ( endo flare ) trying to hide it tho as not a lot I can do about it, but I am feeling pretty low within myself and I feel this is reflecting on my family life. I got sent some lovely flowers from hubby yesterday and made me cry that even tho I'm hiding it from people he still knows I'm struggling 

Current product find : I have just joined buzz agent and was very happy to be sent a box full of Jacobs new cracker/crips I did only get to try the sour cream flavour tho as chris found the chill and salt and vinegar ones while I was at work !!! He said they were very yummy ! 

Current plan : spent the next few weeks enjoying the summer with the boy and pass my driving test so we can go out and about, lots of days out, crafts, cooking and fun ! 

Current purchase : well trying to keep spending down really as saving for a new car, last thing I purchased was a block of driving lessons, and at £230 that isn't a cheap purchase 

Current drink : water water water, I need to drink more and I am trying. It's hard tho really hard.ive cut out fizzy tho pretty much only for treats and if I'm out. 

Current holy moly : the fact that I'm 28 and I don't really have my life sorted. Five years ago I would never have thought that I'd have a child , but yeah I need to sort my life out before 30 hits

Current tv show : me and chris have started watching daredevil over on Netflix it is pretty good only watched a few tho so will see how it pans out.

Current want : sleep, better health and driving license 

Current obsession : no idea......... No obsessions atm 

Flying with a three 1/2 year old

I am typing this mid flight , bodhi is trying to feed me Ella's kitchen raisin & spelt cookies one side and my mum is crocheting on the other side of me. ( she is making me hats and hair bands for my shoeboxes ) and I am trying to write this post while it really is fresh in my mind , I also have the prodigy playing on my iPod. poor dad is sitting the other side alone , maybe no so poor dad, he can just chill !! 

So flying with a child ..... I've done it for the last two years but with daddy's " help " this year I am flying solo as they say ( well not really as I have my mum and dad aswell ) 

Tips 

Don't over pack hand luggage , bodhi is as I type playing with said cookie and a £1 minion pot ! Simple things sometimes are the best

Take your child's fav juice/ water bottle (empty) then once you are flight side you can fill it up from the water fountain 

Take snacks, your child will eat them , if not you will ! I have brought a mix in my " snack bag " we have Ella's kitchen / kettle chips / Arctic paws ( bear ) / Mr Kipling 

Bring a hard lolly for take off and landing this will not only help with your child's ears popping it will also keep them quiet with landing and take off as this can be a rather boring time with trays up and games put away

iPad if you have one let you child use it !! I have used up all of my storage downloading cartoons from bbc Iplayer this is free and can be used without the need of the Internet so can also be used while you are away as they stay on your pad for 28 days

I picked up a children magazine for Bodhi few days before our flight and for once I wanted the one with the most free gifts as these are great time wasters in the flight, he picked (friends) it's filled with colouring , games, stories and the free gift was a peppa pig camp stove set with a frying pan and egg he spent around 15-20 mins playing with this making me and others near by cooked eggs.

Last tip from me, poundshop ! 

Get a few small toys and wrap them up I have done one for each 1/2 hour this one was a pack of two finger skate boards and a bike him and nanny are building a skate park from the free news paper and the packaging ! These items are great as they are new and seen as a gift due to the wrapping and also if they get lost/broke. Who cares it was a few ££ 

So we have another hour and half on the flight I have now swaped seats with my mum so I can finish typing this and I've now got both ear buds in ! May even buy myself a drink ( oh wait I don't drink !! )

Homemade ice lollies

Today the weather is hot hot hot ! Bodhi and I spent the morning in the garden , at 10am it was already 24c and now at 4pm its 27c I felt it was time to make some ice lollies. bodhi gets a "little" hyped if we let him have ice cream or sugar loaded shop ice lollies. 

I got the moulds from my local cheapy shop ! Bargin at only £1.49 and you can make x8 good size lollies, this time of year most shops have a summer range in and your can pick moulds up from a few ££ or you can look online for a range of moulds 

Making our ice lollies was very very simple, I made up a jug of juice ( Bodhi's favourite summer fruits by robinsons ) bodhi placed a few fresh blueberries into the bottom of each mould and with some help he added the juice then they went into the freezer, they froze while he was at afternoon nursery and it has taken him over 15 minutes to eat his lolly in his words it's 

" it's blueberries and juice but really really cold and hard so I can't bite it , I'll lick it ! Maybe I'll have another one for pudding ?? " 

And also his is mess free ! If he had eaten an ice cream he would be a big sticky mess now and hyped up to his eyes on sugar! He enjoyed trying to get the blueberries out of the ice ( reminded me of when you visit the zoo in the summer and they give the animals meat ice lollies ) 

We will be making more of these over the summer months, I've been looking on Pinterest for idea! Loveing the idea of adding more fruit to the juice and different flavours luckily Robinson have a fab range and I'm going to stock up later tonight when I go into work.

Also wanting to play around with the smoothie ideas? Gotta love Pinterest right ? 

Jurassic world 4DX review

As someone who gets headaches from viewing a 3D film at the cinema I was worried how I'd feel watching 4DX for those of you that have no idea what 4DX is picture 3D and then one up, 

To start with the picture is a lot clearer and it feels less chessey and more like you are within the screen, then the seat! Well its a little bit like being on a roller coaster ride ! At first I really didn't like it and I felt like it took away from the film but once I relaxed the movement of the seats drew me into the film, other " moive enhances " such as water/air/smells and fog the only one I didn't enjoy was the water but lucky this option you could turn off on your seat, the cost of 4DX is more then 2D/3D but you do get more for your money if anything just the leg room less seats per row are worth the money ! 

Now for the film its self ! Wow loved it !!! I was six when Jurassic park came out I didn't see it at the cinema but I do remember renting it from blockbusters with my dad when I was maybe 8/9 years old, I loved it then and I still do now ! So when I heard a new one was coming out I knew I had to see it at the cinema and I'm glad I saw it in 4DX as I felt it really added to this type of action film. 

Cineworld Milton Keynes is the only cinema in the UK that offers 4DX and as I only live just dos. The road it really was a no brainier 

If you haven't seen Jurassic world yet go now! Stop what you are doing and go now! It's a 12A and a few parts would scare some children. Bodhi has yet to have experience the cinema ( looking to change this real soon ) but this trip was a perfect date night 

Love is love

I don't often watch the news or read the headlines. I like to live in my own little bubble of Jess world, but I am really pleased that now everyone can be married in the states , like the title says love is love! I have friends who are gay and married living in the UK and most of them seem to be happier and more in love then my straight friends !!

Tho I may not be following with the facebook profile change thing that is taking over my newsfeed I am happy for everyone this will effect and wish everyone a very long and happy marriage ! 💛💙💜💚❤️
